Our commitment

Sigal Geshury's work is built on the idea that no one should be left outside. That principle applies to this website too. We are committed to making it usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a one-off task.

Level of conformance

This website has been built to conform to Israeli Standard 5568, which adopts the international WCAG 2.0 guidelines at level AA, in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773-2013.

What has been done

• The site can be operated entirely by keyboard, in a logical order, with a clearly visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
• A skip to content link appears first, so keyboard and screen reader users can bypass the navigation.
• Every colour combination on the site was measured and meets or exceeds the required contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text.
• The site uses correct semantic structure — page regions, a single main heading and an ordered heading hierarchy — so screen readers can navigate it.
• Links that open in a new tab announce that fact to screen reader users.
• The site is fully available in both English and Hebrew, with the correct language and text direction set for each.
• The layout reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320 pixel wide screen and at 200% zoom.
• Animation is automatically disabled for visitors whose device is set to reduce motion.

The accessibility menu

An accessibility button appears in the lower corner of every page. Opening it lets you adjust the site to your needs. Your choices are saved in your browser and applied automatically on your next visit. The menu offers:

• Enlarging the text in three steps
• High contrast mode
• Inverted colours
• Grayscale
• Highlighting all links with an underline
• Switching decorative display fonts to a plain, highly legible font
• A large mouse cursor
• Stopping all animation
• Resetting every setting at once

The menu itself is operable by keyboard and can be closed with the Escape key.

Known limitations

We would rather tell you where the site falls short than claim it is perfect:

• External websites. Links to the ventures Shammaim, J of Go(l)d, 11:11 and State of Love, and to WhatsApp, lead to services that are not under our control. Their accessibility is the responsibility of whoever operates them.
• Accessibility settings require JavaScript. The accessibility menu will not appear if JavaScript is disabled in your browser. All content and all links on the site remain fully readable and usable without it.
• If you find anything else that blocks you, we want to hear about it — see below.
